Our history.
"Podere San Pierino is an ancient farm near the homonymous Romanesque church also called San Piero di Sotto at about 290 meters above sea level, whose oldest written historical traces date back to 1214 ADThe house that stands there was the house of the farmer or the sharecropper of the church, in fact, in the land of the farm there is still the small cemetery, the cemetery of "San Pierino or San Piero di Sotto", surrounded by centuries-old cypresses. The house, in the past consisting of three distinct elements, during the nineteenth century was owned by an ancient family of Florentine gardeners, in 1967 the farm became the property of the Mori family, who still manage it today.
"San Pierino" - origin of the name.
The name of San Pierino derives from the Church of San Piero di Sotto or San Pierino, close to this farm.
Romanesque church, whose oldest historical traces date back to 1200 AD, has marked the passage of time in this place for centuries.

The symbol of San Pierino it's a kind of "drop" with a letter inside "S" and a letter "P" that intertwine.
This is the punch with which long ago, in the early 1900s,
the settler of this farm stamped the cattle
.
We wanted to use this original and historical symbol for this place.
Today we do not stamp livestock, but we print them on all the labels of our products.
Furthermore, our slogan:
Tempus in agrorum cultu consumere dulce est.
it contains all the passion for the land ..... because, despite the daily efforts, the time spent in the deepening of the agricultural and peasant culture is sweet and pleasant.
The labels of "San Pierino"
All our labels reproduce original antique miniatures.
The miniature is an image made to decorate the initial letters of the chapters in a manuscript. They are often found in sacred books and were made by monks.
In the miniatures we also find scenes of everyday life, and they are the first rudimentary reproductions of agricultural work.
The original miniatures, reproduced in our labels, have been taken from ancient books, illuminated manuscripts, preserved in historical libraries.
